I missed the mention of the Culturally Poisoned AA diet of Cool Aid and chitterlings, Which is bad for physical health as well as Cultural Health. We must work on both!

Hetep and Respect to you Aunk. I too thought the video shared in a profound, but a some what easily digestable way the need to reevaluate and regurgitate what has been taught to, learned, practiced and passed on by AA to the same for the benefit of European progress.

The difficulty lies, as the brother pointed out is getting our people to care enough to look at history beyond what has consistently and persistently taught here in the U.S and the consequence of non-thinking that is evident around the country, particularly with our young people.

I am all for the spirituality and the praise of Almighty God, but as the ministers often preach, it is the "Truth that makes you free." It would certainly be an unchaining experience when truth is sought from Our -Story and taught to Our -Glory. Surely then a change would come. Not just for a few, but for the masses of AA people. Amen!

Hetep and Respect Sweetonion I very much enjoyed this video. It is a very good presentation of what in Cultural Health terms we refer to as Cultural Poisoning. i.e how African Americans were/are disconnected from their culture. Said another way, the result of racism is Cultural Poisoning.

I was also impressed and encouraged by this brother's focus on raising the Cultural Literacy of our minsters. If we are going to be effective at improving AA Cultural Health we must go to church where a large number of our people are on the Sun's Day. To reach the people we Cultural Soldiers must start with the minsters. Amen!
